Was of work on Tuesday and was watching TV with the missus, she had ITV2 on and was watching the Rikki Lake show (american talk show, think Jerry Springer but with less chairs being thrown). Had this mother and daughter arguing about the way the daughter was leaving her mum to bring up her new baby. The name of the daughter was Chlamidia I kid you not.

It rings a bell, I'm sure in a book I've read there were a couple who named their children after words they thought, 'sounded nice', without any thought as to what those words meant, I think Chlamydia was one of them. I'm pretty sure it was a fiction book though.

I'm pretty sure it was a fiction book though. There is also the apocryphal tale of a Mrs King who was giving birth in a hospital and decided to name her son Nosmo, after a sign she saw on the wall...

I know a guy called Dimitri, so named after the Black Russian Leader... My Dad had to explain that the Black Russians were a political party of caucasians, not black.
It's quite a different name for a Bermudian anyway.
