I got quoted > £800 to get my car through it's MOT.

It ended up costing £80, and that was to fix a part that was broken whilst they tried to figure out why it had failed.  Roll Eyes

It got through okay with just minor tweaking to the emmissions and h/lamp alignment.

i got mine done on tuesday by a "friendly" tester for £160, exhaust and brakes were goosed,but the nice man ignored my smashed right headlight, both front windows dont wind down,no spare wheel,broken seat belt,cracked wing mirror etc etc
