I don't understand the 4x4 thing.  X5 if I had to choose.  Merc is horrible.  Range Rover Sport looks ok, won't find one for 20k though.

I find myself liking the 5 series more and more.

Fell free to PM if your intrested in the above car.

I knew you were smart when I met you in Vegas.

(Nothing like going all-in. Walking off and having a smoke)

Just seen a lovely 03 Range Rover on eBay for £8.700 buy-it now,

Bloody tempted to max the CC out Cheesy

Sounds like a scam... happens a lot on ebay using "hijacked" accounts.

bmw x5 ??
ml 270 cdi ??
range rover 3.0 ??
around 20k to spend cant make my mind up,, ive had range rovers b4 but fancy something a bit diff any advice would be of help thanks in advance

My preference would be for the RR (if money was no object) - but, and its  big but, for 20K you will be picking up an early model prob a 02 plate with about 80K miles, which had a load of problems (like all new motors).

The merc isnt even in the same league as these cars.

the x5 is quality, the prices have come down as the market has become saturated. with the money you have to spend that would have to be the choice..

and if you have no trade in, the bargain really hard....

Why don't you save the money? It'll give you a better chance to qualify for next years Grand Prix then!  Cheesy Wink

It's like gambling somehow. You go out for a night of drinking and you don't know where you're going to end up the next day. It could work out good or it could be disastrous. It's like the throw of the dice.
