Catford's too far away for me...
Should have just had my third MTT win, but had all his chips in and he hit his unlikely flush, then i scored top pair on the flop, moved all in and he'd snagged top pair with a better kicker. Dammit. Should be happy with 2nd but in fact I'm just very, very angry.
think of this story when you are angry at finishing second in a tourney.
I played the 300+20$ tourney on hollywood yesterday..We are on the bubble, I have 30k chips (above average only the villain in this story and 1 other guy have me covered) and find myself with pocket jacks on the button. someone min raises preflop and I raraise again to get the blinds off. I am only left with the one caller.
248 rainbow on the flop. I raise...he calls. Turn is another 2. I raise, he pushed all in. I call..(I know he doesn't have the 2 he wouldn't have raised with it. He turns over AJ off soot....he has 3 outs to hit (and of course he does) on the river. If I had won that hand I would have been chipleader by a long long way. I figure with the 30k I would have picked up from him I would have gotten to the final table (only top 30 got paid).
I go out on the bubble...at a cost of about 540$ (and like I said would have been able to get to the final table which gets you a few k at least)
2nd place isn't too bad..getting out done on the river whilst on the bubble is.
that's poker though and you have to deal with it once every 20 hands this guy is going to hit on the river and if you play often enough you will have this happen. the other 19 times I would have gotten paid.
..don't play while you're angry. I decided to tilt 2 5'er STT's and then have a cuppa and get back into things... shit happens..unfortunatly it can cost you a fair amount of dosh in this cruel cruel game
