early satellite play

 this was in a satellite to 75,000$ guaranteed on laddies.

 my strategy is to play tight early on , try and get some chips together then roll from there.


 when the initial raise went in , my move was exactly wot the player on my right did.

 i know i shouldnt have flat called , i didnt want to push , is this a fold  ?

 i thought there was a good chance i had the best hand or at least thought i should see the flop with it.

 opinions ?

I personally throw it away to a raise, re-raise Pre flop.

I pass to the action preflop. when  you flat call and the action comes back to 1st bettor he can repop it, you dont want to be stuck in the middle of this early on.

NEVER flat call preflop with AQ in early stages of a tournament. you just won't be comfy on the flop unless you hit trips!

it's a fold for me. there's a raise and a reraise before you..as you say

" i know i shouldnt have flat called , i didnt want to push , is this a fold  ?" yes, if you know you shouldn't flatcall, don't want to push...it's a fold. Some people will call every other bet in the early stages of a sat as long as it's not a push and you can eb pretty sure one of these guys would have called a raise to 1k'ish so you would have to push. If you don't want to do that you fold.
