It appears there is lot more to poker than just playing cards!

I think some people take poker/internet forums too seriously.

Robert's departure is the first understandable reason for leaving blondepoker I've heard.

gg Dave, thanks for robbing us of the best posters on here.

Obviously the situation wouldn't have arisen without Dave doing what he did (and I'm not defending Dave here btw as he knocked me for a few hundred quid a few weeks ago) but my understanding is that Robert was more angry over the position of the mods on this one, no?

Robert and I knew before most people that Dave had done the stake monies in and in a private conversation that went on via pm Robert told Dave he was to pay him off as soon as he had a result. I thought this was extremely irresponsible and told Dave (who's intention it was at the time to try and claw his way out of it and pay everyone off) that under no circumstance was he to pay Robert HM or I would make public what had happened. I told Dave he was to get the money and pay everyone off equally and at the same time but thought it was extremely irresponsible for him to want out of the stake with his moneys back (particularly when we bear in mind his position as a moderator) whilst he knew stake funds never existed.

"Robert told Dave he was to pay him off as soon as he had a result"...where does it say pay me FIRST before anyone else? Can we see the chat convo pleased Cos before you destroy this mans integrity?

Robert has been in contact with me recently to let me know he is okay but has been reluctant to say why he doesnt post on Blonde anymore...tonight it all becomes a bit clearer.

I don't believe Robert ever said that Suzanne.

Robert wrote to Dave & said, words to the effect, "you've obviously lost interest, you don't update the thread, we don't know what's happening, I suggest you divi up the money & pay everyone out & we move on".

He got no reply, & repeated the message a few weeks later.

Robert was & is an honourable man, & did nothing improper, but he was pretty miffed that things went off-track.  He was also miffed with myself & others that we all knew the score before it all started, & had not warned him. For my part, I assumed HE knew the score as to how it would likely pan out. That assumption turned out to be wrong.

It's somewhat bizarre that he somehow became made out as the bad guy in all this. For the source of the problem, peeps need to look upstream, not downstream.

I wanted to drop the matter because I liked Robert too from his posts on here (we'd never met).

I wish people would just drop it now - it was a while back and there's obviously stuff going on that's not being said (whole situ is v weird no?).

If you look back through my posts on the thread you'll see I said my memory was hazy on the matter and after checking through my posts I had to correct myself on one thing.

I've since spoken to Dave, who no longer posts on blonde and he said that Robert was pressing him for payment. However, maybe Robert considered that he was due payment before everyone else because he had previously requested/mentioned it to Dave.

I will post on it once more if Dave agrees to log in and look at his pms.

I don't think Robert is a bad guy - he was clearly and rightly angry over this. Dave has assured me that everyone still left to be paid - me, Bongo, Jakally and Robert will be paid as soon as appropriate funds become avaolable to him.

I cannot be arsed to listen to crappy greek rumour mongering, I also don't understand why things like this are dragged through forums, poker is full of grimmers, nippers and tossers just man up and deal with it.

I like RHM though and hearsay will not change that.

Nice spot MANTIS, though I think most have already worked that out. Bar one.

Is it really any of your business who his friends are?
