If I was a fan of Chelsea pre richness, I'd love the times that have come to Chelsea. It must be nice having some rich lord come along and bankroll them to success. I'm getting bored of Mourinho now. The man's never happy unless he's bringing someone else down. Fancy having a go at the Reading Ambulance Service for example.
I'd love to see Roman pull out of Chelsea and see what happens to the club, but that's just my bitterness.

As a club I dislike them.
They think they can just get any young players around the country by fair means or foul, tap up players, bung familys, whatever it takes to get them on their books.

When Roman first came and got Mourinho I thought they were great. Fantastic players, a manager that knew his stuff but was very funny at the same time..overall I liked it (especially because every othger club needed to raise their game..like, for instance, ManU has done this season)
These days, they are too arrogant for me. They are no longer a club that has lots of cash to spend but is still decent. They have turned into whining little bullies. everything they do they consider to be right..Every foul a player of them makes is considered part of the game, however every foul or desicion that goes against them is considered to be this great big Conspiracy against Chelsea.
A shame really..because the footie that they play is not nearly as attractive as ManU on form or a freeflowing Arsenal... They could have gone that route but decided not to.

I use to play Championship manager a few years ago and sometime I would have four clubs in the same game. I would drain all the money out of three by selling their best players to Newcastle and have them buy the Marcelino's and Maric's off NUFc for £20m - I would then have all the best players and all the money!
Thats what I think of when I see Chelsea now, I quickly got bored of playing Champ Manager in that way....

chelsea are a club steeped in history in which there have been long periods of time without on field success.
the fans have had to put up with alot of uncertainty of the field and down right rubbish on it for to long so you cant blame them for enjoying the success they are enjoying at the moment.
the success they are enjoying now i agree is largely down to roman abramovich's money.
but i defy any football supporter of any team to say that they wouldn't want mr abramovich (or someone similar)at thier club to improve things on or off the field and to build the whole organisation that is chelsea fc into one of the biggest football clubs in the world.
success of any kind breeds jealousy, it's just in chelsea's case there are a greater number of stones lying around to be thrown.

There's no doubt about that..however they could be slightly more humble about certain things. I have no problem with them spending loads of dosh...and I'm delighted they are bringing good players into the premiership..however, the atittude that seems to have come from the club over the past few months is nothing like it was when mourinho first started. He himself was, although confident, never arrogant that has changed now and it seems to be part of the club culture now. I am not blaming mourinho as it can't be the manager who does that for the entire club but off the pitch they seem to be rather full of it.

I like the fact Chelsea have loads of money and have raised the bar. It makes for a more competitive league. English football has been thrust back towards the forefront of European football and this can only be a good thing.
My problem is the attitude of SOME Chelsea fans and the Chelsea manager.
The only press I ever see around the club now is bad press. I remember supporting Chelsea vs Monaco in the Champions League Semi Final a few years back. Raineri brought dignity to everyone he managed. They were what I would call an honourable team.
Now however there is just bitterness and resentment towards teams they've lost against from Mourinho. (How many times can you mention "ghost goal" or "when we play Barca with 11 men we win" in one season? Zzzzzzz.) I'm a lot happier watching Arsenal or Man U (cant believe I just said that) than Chelsea. They are both clubs who, even though they don't like their opposition at times, respect them greatly. Look at how Ferguson handled himself after the Liverpool game. Now that's class - and Man U and Liverpool HATE each other. If Mourinho, who is undoubtedly a great manager, handled himself like that he would be doing a better service to his club in my opinion.
The only other thing is some of the Chelsea fans. Man U fans went on about being the best for a decade and I hated it but they had a valid point. They won the treble, numerous league titles, the list was huge. Chelsea have won two leagues and some Chelsea fans talk like they are the team to beat in Europe and they haven't even won ONE European Cup! Ajax, Bayern, Milan, Real etc must be laughing their asses off!
To be fair the majorty of things surrounding Chelsea are really good for football IMO and I'm happy for 90% of their fans and some of their long term players. They'll never be loved and supported in a Champions League final up and down the country like some other English teams though.
