Thanks in no small part to Womble, who bought me a very nice meal and and talked about poker untill he had me so fired up that I refused to lose, I even bullied Ali Malu into submission
I had a great time at Blackpool, The £300 Freeze out was a nightmare of big hands that wouldn't stand up, although I did play QQ like a Herbert when my opponent did everything except stand on the chair and scream "Put em down, I've got aces"
I did manage to win a couple of nice pots in the cash game and, ignoring the scowls and raspberrys, I said goodnight very sweetly and scarpered back to my hotel £500 better off
Yogi was in great form, strolling nonchalantly around the cardroom, a word here, a nod there, he makes it seem effortless, but he misses nothing, and the comps ran like clockwork. He flattend the prize structure and the complaints and threats of the protesters were of no more consequence than a few flies to a Grizzly Bear, a minor annoyance to be waved away
He
is
the man
Kudos

Got to come clean about Ali Malu, we both had trip
and luckily I had the better kicker, other than that I avoided him like the plague

Nice post Red, & I second your comments about Yogi, surely a man in the running for Cardroom Supervisor/Manager of the Year.
When you see guys cope so easily with things that other peeps get all hot & bothered about, that's class. Bobby Moore had it - never broke sweat, never had mud on his shorts 'cos he never fell over, always in the right place at the right time. Piggott had it, Kenny Barrington had it, Colin Todd had it.
Class, real class. Top Man Yogi.

I think you and Mrs Wolfy make a lovely couple ( Although I have to say, she's far to good for you) and would be a great asset to any cardroom
It's my honest opinion that ALL casinos fail miserably when it comes to looking after good staff
Now hurry up and get your self to Birmingham, then you will be out of the way when I go back to Blackpool in November
