as an inside centre with his power and kicking ability yes, but he is still a rookie. World cup comes too soon. As you say he was injured and then club and country could not agree on his best position. Yet more bad planning that has affected our team

Oh I think the timing is terrible. Can't we get the World Cup moved back another 12 months?  I seriously believe the team would be so much stronger with Farrell and Wilkinson properly match fit.

If Farrell continues without injury this season, I definitely think he should be in the squad.  The fella is immense and he's got to be better than half the current crop (should that be crap?).  I think even despite his lack of experience of union, and the fact that he's been out for so long, he still should be included.

I might be biased though.

Is Farrell not getting on a bit now though?  They need to decide whether to have a good clear out and start again.

I'm not sure whether Wilkinsons body will ever be up to consistant international (even professional) Rugby again.
