My Dad called me today and asked how I was and asked if I was 'in a game'. Then said he's got some good news for me... "o...k, what is it?" and his reply... "Well if all goes well you're going to have a new baby brother or sister". I am going to be 20 in March, and the thought of a new brother os sister is a bit scary!I said to my Dad "What if I have a baby next year? your baby will be uncle or aunt at the age of about 1!" I also had the cheek to suggest he was a bit old to be having another baby, but he disagreed! (He is 44 - 45 when the baby is born) I am pleased for him and VERY shocked!!

He should disagree. 44 is no age! Congratulations!

I just hope it's a boy... he'd have the normal name Jack, but if it's a girl the poor thing'll be called Marcella :-|

He should disagree. 44 is no age! Congratulations! Does that mean we go straight to 45 from 43?

Great news! Don't worry about the age thing - I think it's pretty common nowdays. My mate's 41 and had kids very young with his first wife. He's got a nearly three year old grandson and his (my mate, not the grandson) girlfriend is having a baby in January

Congrats!
My Dad was 45 when I popped out, and he was 50 when my younger brother was born. Don't worry about the age thing.
You get to 'practice' being a mum with your brother/sister.
