I liked it. Gritty, fun, and pretty slick too. No stoopid invisible cars or face changing bad guys who cant feel pain. Just sleazy Europeans who are pretty nasty (and crap at poker).
You'll hate the poker scenes - it's always the stone cold nuts Vs the 2nd or 3rd nuts where all the chips would go in every time, closely followed by "I had a read on him - he has a tell - I cant beat this guy - blah blah blah" - but apart from that it's good.
I'm still no Daniel Craig fan but the film itself is decent enough.

**SPOILERS**
Much, much worse. Especially the 4 way all in for $150 million with the 1st, 3rd, 4th and 5th nuts.
Oooh not to mention the "bad call" JB makes with the 2nd nut full house Vs quads because he was "duped" into the bad guy's "tell".

When I saw the trailers I was obviously hoping they had a good poker scene with some good poker rather then royal flush v quads, hate that stuff. I know they have it for the average people who dont know a thing about poker but just once I would like to see people in a movie with actual poker, guess this isn't it.
lol, still going to see it tonight though.

While enjoyable anyway, the stupidest poker scene ever goes to the remake of Maverick.
Lock stock brag was good.

I assume when you say "good" you're refering to the fact that Lenny Mclean could have got up and knocked everyone of the crewmembers out at any time if he had wanted to, because everything else about that scene was shit!

I saw it last night , didn't like the first 5 minutes then it takes off more like you would expect a JB film and apart from a little too much treacle in the love scenes which have a purpose i thought it was agreat first attempt and better than i was expecting . The poker scenes have a couple of mistakes but didnt spoil the film and the last two minutes were what all Bond films are about .
PS Julian , for the beach scene , it's just like me in swimming trunks with blonde hair not !!
