This life has been on for the last two weeks every night, I think it has now finished.

I almost posted about this last week. Top show! Great ending to series 2 as well - why did they stop making it?

yeah it's being repeated two episodes per night - just into the start of series two now.  Not sure when the Christmas special is on, but I can't wait.  forgot how much I fancied Miles!

I'm also eagerly awaiting this one off.

Some of the people involved with have said that they stopped after series 2 because it was so good they didn't want to ruin it by dragging it out, and other statements to that affect.

However, I remember at the time there was more talk of the rather more prosaic reason that they hadn't tied enough people into a contract for a third series to make it viable.

its funny watching the re-runs at the moment on bbc2, I was an avid viewer of both series when they were first shown. (not too many people watched series 1 first time around, but it started its run just after "our friends in the north" had finished, so that was how I picked up on it).

Whats funny, is that I am obviously 10 years older now, rather than the same (approx) age as the characters and basically think they are total assholes, especially Miles and Milly. This is obviously a different viewpoint to 10 years ago when I thought they were all so cool !

It will be interesting to see the christmas special "10 years on", as again they will be of a similar age to myself, so will be able to see any changes to them.

oh, and the band that did the theme tune were called "no way out".

Like Rod, I am finding it interesting how my view of the characters have changed.  When it was first shown I was 21 or so and probably a bit of a 'know it all'. I remember really disliking Anna, but I think she's great now!

Jack Davenport is a fine actor..even better when he was alongside Sarah Alexander in "Coupling"!

Andrew Lincoln is good too, excellent in "Teachers"

I always thought Milly was insufferable, always had a soft spot for Anna.

Excellent programme.
