Got home last night expecting to have my nice shiny laptop on the table, ready to plug in, and start surfing the web.

Instead I get home to a letter stating there is a problem with delivery on my purchase and can I call customer services asap (the cheek of it). I call the telephone number given and then am put on hold for about 20 mins (not happy). A very nice lady told me that stock of my product was zero and wouldnt be restocked until the 14th December.

So I now have 2 choices -

1) Cancel the order
2)Place a new order for a different laptop

I really wanna start playing poker again so am gonna opt for option 2.

Will the nice blondites out there just give me a yay or nay on this laptop spec

That spec is about 1000 times more than you need to play online poker.
But should do pretty much anything you want.

When my laptop went wonky, as a filler I got a P700 for £30 off ebay (local), it was more than capable of playing poker till I got my new laptop.
Now it is a good machine for the kids to break...my new laptop is off limits!

As the wife says, I have 5 kids not 4, and my favourite is the square silver one.

with the current huge oversupply in the laptop market, there is no way I would be waiting 4 weeks to get a machine, unless it had very specific custom fitted options.

Tikay I hope you don't mind me putting the company name forward but Kew Computers Ltd have new Dell laptops in stock. If you call them on 08700 539266 and give my name( Denis O Mahoney) you will get the staff discount.  You can ask for me if you like. Delivery next day in the UK.

Dual core processors are just a fad imo. Don't bother with them.

With a dual core processor you'll be able to agree and disagree at the same time.

Ok, the way i see it is that if you are going to use these then you are going to need to use software that utilises them and if you are using software that will benefit from a dual core processor, why not just buy a dual processor computer.

easy question b4 u buy.. how much is it? For that spec the max priceI'd pay is £599, the company I work for has a similar spec with a 120Gb HD for £599. Make sure you buy from a good place as anyone who buys a media centre laptop/ PC will get a free upgrade to windows Vista when it is released. If u want any more info etc pm me
