This sort of bet doesn't come along very often and its the best kind.

X factor The Mcdonald Brothers to win, since being slated on TV by Simon Cowell they have ammassed a huge fanbase and are looking like shock winners. The bookies will be slashing their odds very quickly and here's why:-

Cast your vote
Who is your favourite?
Results: Votes   Per cent
Ben Mills 5,808 13%
Eton Road 5,580 12%
Leona Lewis 9,010 20%
The MacDonald Brothers 17,241 38%
Raymond Quinn 5,536 12%
Robert Allen 2,695 5%

Total votes: 45,870

You can still get 33/1 with Ladbrokes but I doubt that will be around for long, they are likely to be around 6/1 by this time next week so get on! - if everyone who bets on them votes on them as well how can they lose?

you can bet on them but only to lay them on betfair.

blah, what am I saying...everyone who votes for anything on the X factor or talentless dimwits such as the Macdougal brothers deserves to lose their money.

It's the sort of telly that makes me sick. And it's not like Simon Cowell said something like this on purpose simply because he knows the Scots tend to go into a nationalist frenzy whenever one of them gets slagged off. I can't wait for the Scottish Mail and Sun to start hyping everyone up and get the nation voting. Mr Cowell will be laughing all the way to the bank as everyone votes in. Last weeks show made 400k in voting dosh...well done on a great business Simon. People voting for talentless twats has enevr been a more popular past time.

anyways...back to trying to find a kitten to strangle now.

The opportunity has passed on The MacDonald Brothers in my opinion.  They're not going to get much further in this and taking them two weeks ago at 60odd on BF was the time to do it.

Backing Leonna from the start was a good opportunity  Cool

Ladbrokes have now cut the odds from 33/1 to 25/1, still good value when VC are taking no chances and offering only 10/1

Good work tipster.

Will be keeping a close eye on Betfair as to when to lay.

The danger of course is that if they are in the bottom two one week, they'll almost certainly be eliminated.

Simon voting for them is pretty locked in, Sharon would have to send home one their own acts to keep them in the competition, or Eton Road would have to appear with Mcdonald Bros in the bottom two for them to have any chance of surviving the judges.

Did you know that two weeks ago?

If so, where was the post?   Wink

I think it's still worth getting on at 25 to 1 on Laddies, and laying on Betfair after they survive Saturday. That poll is very persuavive.

The likelyhood is that they won't be in the bottom two, they never have been yet and both Ray and Eton Road have. Ray is odds on to be in the bottom two this week and if The Mcdonalds are as well then the casting vote will be with Sharon who seems sided with Louis at the moment.

You have to also remember that either this week or next week the judges voting stop and its all down to public vote.

i put £10.25 on ealry at 24.34 and just laid off the £10.25 at 13s  giving me a free £116.19 bet on the brothers

i cant see them winning cause they are frigging terrible but £116 is a nice reason for them to win

if they get past next weekthey might get into about 8-1 i will then take a free £10 and let the rest ide
