Shock of the season??

Reigning champs are out, despite winning their game Chelski's failure to beat Bremmen means Barca are out.

Yep - don't pay attention to the press - working out the groups is obviously too much thought for them (don't get me started on the UEFA coefficients).

http://www.sportinglife.com/football/cups/championsleague/standings/

Chelsea 5 3 1 1 8 4 10
Werder Bremen 5 3 1 1 7 3 10
Barcelona 5 2 2 1 10 4 8
Levski Sofia 5 0 0 5 1 15 0

Stv were shocking last night and didn't work out Celtic were through until the program was finished. I checked sporting life to see the tie break rules and it was there. Turned on sky and celtic were up as qualified. ITV should get no football as the coverage is rubbish. Give me sky any day.

ITV in England got it right that Celtic qualified and mentioned it a number of times during the final minutes of the match...maybe we need to lend the Scots our commentators too Smiley

Tanks Rod you have got me started with the bl**dy co-efficients!
Already for the games played this season Man United have earned more coefficient points than Celtic, as have Tottenham and Newcastle who have played less games and are in the UEFA cup! Absolute disgrace!!!

All STV would need to do is hire non-alcoholic IOw non-Scottish commentators...or...they could just stop hiring nitwits Wink

You're right, same amount of games, same win/draw/loss record, but the national contribution puts Man U ahead of us.

Mind you it used to be worse, until a couple of years ago they got 1/2 the national co-eff, now it's 1/3.

That's why my head tells me I want Rangers to win tonight, we need to national co-eff points (me heart may disagree though Wink ).
