And we're off...

"Shut up and deal," and Dani so eloquently put it.

Spoke to Ian during the break who said, "I'm not going to start messing around here, I want to get something for my money and make the final so I'll wait for one of the others to drop. Of course, if I get a hand it's going in, but I won't be doing anything stupid. I haven't put all this hard work in to come 10th."

Jeff checks

Dan bets 12k

Jeff makes it 21k

Dan calls

Turn =

Both check

River =

Jeff bets 35k

Dan calls

Jeff =

I'm pleased to see that nobody has seen fit to criticise Lucy's play or Sloppy's writing in this update so far Wink

Close shave for shortstacker Lisa Scotney.

With the other table swarming around Table 3 like flies around the mucky stuff, Lisa moved all-in from the small blind with , only for John Huckle to call from the big with the same hand, but both clubs.

The flop was a rather scary one.

The Turn was a safe and although it was black, the River was the harmless and Lisa lives to fight another day (well, play another hand). She is still very short and is tring desperately to creep onto the final table. With Lucy on your table though, you never know.

Have you ever received a firm kick in the testicles?

Do you recall that grimace you gave when the pain suddenly hit?

Well, that's the face Joe Grech is now wearing.

He raised pre-flop, Ian Woodley re-raised from the button and Joe re-repopped him.

Ian had to call and was rather embarrassed to reveal , especially when Joe turned over .

And Ian was even more red-faced when he flopped a nine on a Two Clubs board.

Joe down to 54k and not looking happy.

38k pot pre-flop

three diamonds two hearts

J Zaid moves all-in, Carter folds.

They haven't tightened up this lot with 10 remaining, although Lisa Scotney is still clinging like she's never clung before.
