Ok I know you guys dont like to talk about girlie things and just shrug it off but PMT IS THE PITS.

I have noticed than when Im errr due..I play like a complete a$$hole..Im on a "KILL THE BARSTEWARD MODE" and during this period (no pun intended) I ALWAYS LOSE... I always take comments too seriously where as normally I wouldnt, I play hands I wouldnt normally...but just coz hes a numpty lets see if my 63s holds up. I go on tilt when my AA is busted and I get abusive to calling stations even though I know they are our bread and butter  >:?
The fact that I have on my profile that im a female just gives u blokes ammunition to wind me up further and yes...i bite.

I am sure the younger guys on here have no idea what im talking about, the older ones know what its like to be mid tourney with pots and pans flying about the kitchen.

Was so pleased to see Claires post not so long ago and realise im not the only one.

Tablets have kicked in now and im fine but dont be surprised if there is D-Day number 3 :-)

Will pm those who posted soon but want the thread to die ...till next month...cackle cackle

You could always switch off the chat during this...period?

(Just what a woman wants, a logical solution to a problem when really all she was after was a chance to vent her anger.)

Or have a break or take dble dose of tablets Grin

But being serious, if you think that this is due to you hormones, perhaps you should go and see a doctor, change your diet a bit (plenty of soya sauce) and see if this will  make any difference. (the trouble is in the UK they don't like doing proper hormonal tests on the NHS)  I know it will sound really cliche but plenty of exercises and relaxation techniques can help.  It really depends how bad it gets (i have a feeling it can get bad) There are ways of improving your wellbeing and you have to do something about it.

Suzanne are you serious?  Don't want to sound controversial,  but I can bet that most older blokes here don;t even know how 'the pots and pans' look like. Grin

I think there is a lot of women who do suffer from monthly rages, but there are ways to decrease that problem.  It is one of those things that one have to deal with it and try to fix it.   I would love to do some research into top women who play sports, how they deal with their hormones.

You are not the only one, but there are ways in which you can significantly reduce your monthly D-Days.

Serious advice- Don't play when emotionally unstable. If you play when you know you aren't of sound mind then you will not play well and will waste 3 good weeks work with one week of madness.

I think Ariston's right Suzanne, but if you feel you want to play and release aggression, why not drop to the 10c + 1c Stts or freeroll mtt's where the overaggression may well help (and if not it won't seriously dent the bankroll). Also lower limit heads-up games where the aggression could give you an advantage.

Nice one BTW Tantrum - make a sexist comment about men, just before you suggest the sexist comments will be coming. Pot/Kettle?

rod its ok for tantrum to make sexist comments about us but woe betide if we return the favour. Double standards don't count to females, you should have learned that by now.

You can't help yourself Ariston? I know it must be difficult for you....

I tell you what, why don't you write the whole essay entitled 'The definition of a woman according to Ariston', Looking through some of the threads posted by you on Blonde, there is enough material for your intro.

Gl with that,

Let's not derail suzanne's thread for some silly cat fight.   Wink

I actually think women have an advantage over men (most of the time)

They can evaluate a situation properly because they don't have testosterone fueled minds that see every re-raise as a direct challenge to their manhood

Agree red. When was the last time you saw two women having a "measuring" contest at the table with 2 rag hands. I immediately gave some sound advice in this thread instead of going for all the obvious gags as I thought Suzanne may be going through some turmoil on a monthly basis on the tables- playing when not emotionally sound is not good for the bankroll.
I have been married twice and saw the pots and pans on a daily basis as I did all the cooking so label me a sexist if you wish but taking the mick is fine for women on these subjects but not for men? At least I dont edit my posts when I have said something so subsequent posts look out of context. Sexism goes both ways, you cant chose to make sexist comments yourself then berate us when we have a bit of banter back.

I can argue Ariston, that my comment was a banter, why would you take it as sexist comment?  I have removed for the reason that some would take it personally and the words would be mis-interpeted.

Your choice of wording is fascinating I interpret the meaning of your above statement that you do banter and I do sexist comments.
Something to think about it.

Nowhere in my posts I have labeled you sexist.
