William Hill have cut the odds on two British teams contesting the Champions League final from 6/1 to 3/1.

They also offer 10/11 that the competition is won by one of the five British sides - Chelsea, Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal and Celtic.

It's 16/1 that all four semi-finalists are British; 9/2 that three are; 6/4 that two are; 7/4 that one is and 9/2 that none is.

OK there is a couple of bets that strike me here...7/4 for one of the five teams or 6/4 two to reach the semis.

My understanding (correct me if I am wrong please) is that four of the five British teams have won their group and therefore can't be drawn against each other in the last 16, neither can Utd get Celtic

Accepting that some fine teams remain in surely we can fade one or two teams into the semi's at odds against but its unlikely to be three plus as a couple will come against Lyon and Barca etc before then?

your thoughts please?

Liverpool to win it.

The odds you state, I guess the 6/4 is that exactly 2 British teams make it to the semis?   Are they offering the odds or two or one (so at least one) reach the semis?

I think it's worth waiting for the draw, not that it'll help you that much in all probablity.

I would go for 1 or 2 teams.
Be very surprised if more than that as plenty of good teams to play, also I know you can't play team from same country/group in last 16, but is that removed for last 8?

It will have to be removed, they can't keep it up for much longer Cheesy

I'm hoping for another good run for Arsenal this season, I don't see why they can't get to the final.  It's all about one off games though isn't it (well home and away) and anything can happen.

Well no offence to our Scottish friends can't Celtic beating anyone they are drawn against, best chance IMO is getting Arsenal or Liverpool and hoping it is played out like a Derby game.

As for the rest they are all capable of beating anyone, i would fancy 2 to make the semis, 3 would be stretching it. I think 6/4 sounds quite reasonable here.

I would take Liverpool, Arsenal or Valencia on current form. Long time until the next round and i think we'll do much better than you think. All we need is someone to get rid of Graveson and make sure Maloney plays instead of Mcgeady.

Although McGeady played very poorly at OT & Copenhagen he has been Celtics best player going forward this season by a mile, Maloney meanwhile hasnt kicked his backside this season.
For Celtic to progress any further the central defence will need strengthened in the transfer window

You may struggle to strengthen with someone who isn't cup-tied.
