I thought it would be worth the chance that there might be some ppl on here who have a good knowledge of cars, I just got bak from a long journey 200ish miles, and within half an hour there was a big puddle under my car, i thought it was water so i checked it out and it turned out to be oil, I;ve heard that it aint too bad if
its black dirty oil but this is clear, anyone have any idea what is wrong? im guessing a leak, but what wud that cost to fix?Huh?

depends on what's wrong I think but I had this when I drove a Jag XJ6. only cost me 40£ to get fixed at my local garage...And Jags are VERY expensive to get sorted. I can't say what it could be or cost you but don't go to your delaership go to your local garage is the best piece of advice I can give ya.

GL with it.

Wanna fix mine?Huh? Its one of those "intermittent" faults - sometimes the car will turn over, but wont start - me thinks its a camshaft sensor problem.

I think (and I stress I THINK) its a sensor that tells the Computer when the camshaft is turning

Sheesh!!!  In my day you had a coil, distributor, and a carburettor. There was so much room under the bonnet, you could get in there beside the engine. If you had a spark and fuel, it would start.

The seal around he driveshaft is a CV gaitor, these are filled with CV Grease, which is black dirty and greasy. If you can get the front end of the car on a ramp or jacked up so you can get underneath you will see them. You generally have 4. They are rubber type covers that cover the CV joints, they are gaitored to allow them to be flexible.

If the garage is too expensive you can do these yourself with a couple of spanners and alan keys.

Hope this helps....
