In the closing minutes, Dan Samson loses a pot which could have secured him that coveted Leader spot - Matey raised to 3,500 preflop (holding around 16k) - Dan re-raised 6,000 with his , and then Matey moved in - Dan couldn't pass and found himself against .  Which held up.  He related this tale to me while overcoming the late night frustration in the smoking alcove.  It's probably good they're stopping soon as he'll find his 37,000 isn't as pitiful as he reckons right now when he returns tomorrow.`

Michael McCool raises to 3200 from the button and Andrew Douglas pushes all-in from the small blind for an additional 15k. McCool goes into the tank before mucking  face-up, Douglas shows  . McCool mutters something along the lines of, "If i knew you had that i'd have called you in a shot!"

Pete Steppings is a late casualty his pocket  cracked by Damon D'Cruz's  all-in pre-flop. The flush duly arrived on the turn.

Play has ended for the day, players are bagging and tagging their chips. Final counts will follow, shortly hopefully! 41 players will return tomorrow at 3pm with blinds at 600-1200

Hi,

Does anyone know if Gez Moris is still in please?

Need to know if the alarm needs set, as I'm picking him up tomorrow.

Cheers.

I just heard Paul King remark: "I was down to 2,000, and now I have 20,500."  OK, Paul, YOU are climber of the day.  Congratulations.

We're going to sit in hope that the chip counts arrive promptly, then I shall deliver Nick to the luxury of the Days Inn where he can sleep off his first day's running around.

Back at 3pm for the restart....

It just remains to vehemently THANK DINO1980 aka Nick Wright for his efforts today - seeing as he has a proper job too he may not be with us all the way through tomorrow, but it's been a pleasure and I am happy to add his name to the "Possible to work with" list.  Congrats, and many thanks.
