An ideal match is it not?

Should we expect a Martin O'Neill/Aston Villa like transformation in the team's fortunes?

I can see it being good for West Ham.   Stability has to be the immediate goal for the club and Curbs has an excellent record of that.

I am suprised he's gone there, seeing as he turned them down before Pardew.

Maybe he doesnt think he's going to get a top job soon.

Matt

Not sure if you've seen this blog before - New York Addick.

The writer is a friend of mine from University, now living in New York.  He's one of the funniest people I know and his blog entries, at times, are just inspired.  Well worth a read and a bookmark!

West Ham will be one of the top 6 jobs in the country within two years IMO.

Not really hard to be in the top 6 is it, top 4 then it acutally means something.

It depends.

If Magnusson spends wht he says he will then West Ham should be able to compete on a similar level to the other big 5.

Well unless they can double their capacity and start to attract decent players they ain't got much hope of being nothing more than what spurs will always be, top of the 2nd division within the premiership.

I think the next 5 years are going to be interesting for the PL - Lots of stupid money flying around that might break football. It'll also be interesting to see just what money alone can do.

Who's the big 5 Baron? I would imagine your thinking Tottenham?

Good point Rooky - who is the big 5? Tough one to answer. Probably Spurs.

With Lerner and Magnusson I think Villa and West Ham could both be contenders though.
