I saw something today which i had heard of before but never seen first hand animal therapy and was amazed.
I was visiting at a hospice and while there a lady came round with a rescue greyhound she visits the hospice once a week and visits all the patients who then have the option to stroke speak to and react to the dog.
The reaction of the person i was visiting to this greyhound was amazing, he responded in such a positive way i know it has no medical benefit but was uplifting for them, also for me as they seemed to be more alert for a while.
A very simple idea and very rewarding for the patients.
