I don't believe it had a sponsor pre Wm Hill, it was just run by PokerinEurope.com, who "run" &, I guess claim to "own" the Rankings.

i think someone else covered it in the inside edge thread.... there is only really one player of the year , and he doesnt show on euro rankings...
says it all really.
if you talk to most of the sites , they are all cutting their cloth accordingly , they have made that initial push to get their site members and they are fairly clueless as to where they are going to increase their revenue streams......... typically british they will then look to chop costs inorder to keep their momentum towards protecting the shareprice.
it is no coincidence that the none of them seem to think outside the box,, it will be interesting to see ,wHO, if any, get a full years sponsorship (players that arent already sign4ed that is).
there are some class players out there this year with no deal........the problem we have in poker there is no alternate revenues to be gained through sponsorship,, a footballer a golfer etc gets sponsored so the companies can sell their products.........
what does a poker player do ........ increase site awareness..........
the numbers of new memebers slow down so why should they spend 100 k sponsoring someone, thats what i mean by typically english .. look at the other sites like full tilt stars ub etc......
thats why i think, and in fact hope, dtd bring a more commercial outlook and smashh the other sites, this will indeed , "up the antte" and get them to turn away from this sudden malaise they seem to find themselves in........

Am still very linterested in the £300 Nick, but I'd wanna know the clock, &, more importantly, the blinds structure. (Does it include 75/150 &/or 150/300?).
Thanks.
