I only nipped out for a meal and I missed loads. Nice pic of famous players arse, vondutch jeans hmmmm You are a brave man taking that pic Tikay
Gus Hansen is originally from Denmark but now officialy lives in Monte Carlo but like most of these players he spens all his life living out of a suitcase. Can't recall who says he was a lucky player but please keep thinking players like Gus are just lucky. I dont think I have met a more mathmatical player and he is probably one of the most intelligent people you could ever talk to about poker. If Gus and Daniel N are just lucky how come they win year after year in the biggest tournaments? Must just be the luckiest guys on the planet I suppose. Next time you watch him on TV as he bobs his head- he is working out every possible variable on the hand, not just nodding for effect. If you are going to make a move on a Gus type player you better make sure you have enough chips to seriously hurt him as he wont mind gambling with you if the odds are correct (allin for aything less than 10% of his stack and hes calling you I promise with any 2).
Oh and finally - TIKAY GET SOME BLOODY WORK DONE LAZY ARSE

OOps, sorry Ariston. OK, Seat allocations.
Seat 1, Gus Hansen
Seat 2, Patrick Mortensen
Seat 3, Jan Boubli
Seat 4, Romain Feriolo
Seat 5, Christer Johnsson
Seat 6, Patrick Antonius
Seat 7, Anton Bergstroem
Seat 8, Dario Alioto
Come on then, what's the 1-2-3?
Anyone gets it right - one winner only - blonde will give you free entry into the next blonde Tourney. Not much £££'s, but just a bit of fun really.

EV doesnt really count in tourneys IMO hotdog- cash games yes but tourneys come down to battling stack sizes. If Gus is huge chip leader this could be a massacre, then again he could still finish 8th. The difference between players like gus, atit, thewy, camel and co is that they are trying to win the tournament from the start, they are Gambling with your chips anyway if they have a huge stack- how do you think they get 700k in tourneys? They haven't had aces 73 times I can guarantee it.

Now, I am gonna try & lod some pics of the TV Table & Arena before the Final starts. To those of us lucky enough to be here, or have seen them before, no big deal, but many of you have never seen what they look like, so here goes......(Poor Quality pics, but gives you an idea I hope).

It was me who said he is lucky, Never mentioned Daniel N though.
You keep getting involved in big pots with someone all in and another with a massive stack with 9-3 o/s and all your odds wont save you in the long run.
And for a winning player, that is money invested in poker and money returned, well Gus may tell you different.

I am trying to "fill in" whilst we wait for the Final to start. Gus has gone missing! So here's a pic or two more while we wait......
Mr K O'Connell, with Rory Liffey in the background.
