sure this has been asked many times before but i will ask again anyway

is it possible to use my router without a desktop witch it is attached to, can it be hooked up straight to my modem if that not again attached to a desktop,or can i hook it up straight from the Little white cable

i seem to have made this question much more difficult than it needs to be, i am soon to be without a desktop as it will be moving with my ex    cant believe am losing my desktop

Yes it doesnt need to attatch to any computer at all to share the interweb
