I met that Alliadiere in person when he was at Celtic last season.

He's some size of a boy . Built like a light heavyweight.

Nice goal son!!

In the final I think Wenger would play a full team tbh.

Possibly in the semi too.

we have got to 2 semis in 3 years and he hasnt fielded a full strength side either time.

Was either of those Semis Vs Spurs? Surely they were both in seasons where you had a chance of winning the league too. This year you don't.

It may be your only chance for a trophy this season so I would guess it will be a more experienced team.

Why we didn't play a better team tonight is beyond me. Our season now has nothing to play for other than trying to beat Barca. LOL!

Arsenal appear to have a full strength squad and i very mcuh doubt hell play a weak team. Im not saying theyll win, but big value at 4.4 or whatever graham said they were.

We are playing with absolutely nothing like a full strength squad and I would not bet on Arsenal tonight with Nemesis' money,  Roll Eyes even @ the seemingly enormous 5.6 available on Betfair.

Home banker for me, my advice would be to snap up the almost 4/5 available.

The semis were against Boro and last year Wigan.  Last year we were out the FA Cup and League so worse position than this year and i may be wrong but when we played Boro the treble was on so again arguably for various reasons he could have played stronger teams.

The truth is as we progress he slowly slips in more first team regulars - last nite Toure and Cesc played - both arguably no. 2 and 3 on our team sheet every week.  Plus Djorou, Hoyte, Almunia, Walcott, Diaby, Baptista, and Aliiadiare have had quite a bit of first team experience.  So there was a lot of quality and expereince already in the team.  When people talk about our kids they forget that most of them have 1st team AND INTERNATIONAL experience.  We had 3 teenagers represented in the World Cup in Walcott, Djorou and Fabregas.  No other team did.

Difference is Liverpool and other teams kids dont have our kids experience.

For the semi i honestly see him sticking to his policy but subtley sneaking in an extra 1-2 regulars.  Gilberto for instance played in both semis.  The back 4 picks itself, the two centre-halves will be two from Gallas, Djorou, Senderos and Toure.  FOr instance it could be a game for Gallas to get back to fitness.  Midfield he may not play Cesc but we have 8 other midfielders to pick from and up front i can honestly not see him playing henry or van persie but it will be two from Adebayor (again could be a comeback match) Alliadiere and Baptista.

So all in all it wont be our strongest team but as always there will be a mixture of experience and kids.

Endorsing my position achieved in the World Cup tipstering competition  Roll Eyes

Although I did presume that Rafa was going to try and win the game.

I completely agree that Dudek had to be kept and Kirkland sold and Carson loaned out... Roll Eyes

to what extent does the recent run of results begin to put pressure on Benitez?

You trying to wind me up? Wink

This time 2 years ago we lost to Burnley in the FA Cup 3rd round and we went on to win the European Cup (for the 5th 5th 5th 5th 5th time)

Champions League and FA Cup in 2 seasons! Nuff said.
