You can get a 3G/GPRS data card that is essentially a wireless device that connects to the net the same way your mobile phone does, apparently vodafone has the best signal but not the best deal.

I know a few on here have them, i'm sure someone will be along to advise.

There are a few threads if you use the search above but some may be a little out of date.

You could get a data card as suggested, that will work if you have a laptop, you will still need a SIM card to put in it, and if you got a 3G card you'd prob be getting in on a contract...

You can get online with your mobile. That would be the easiest way. If you have a nokia then they have nice software on their website which does all the settings for you. I think vodafone have their own software but I haven't used it. The cheapest way if you just want email etc will be to do pay as you go on vodafone or orange. T-mobile used to have free internet access, but that might be on contract so you might want to check that out. If you go for 3G it will be faster, but you'll probably end up using more data then and it will cost more. If you are using O2 then you have to be a contract customer not PAYG to user their GPRS via PC (annoying as guess who I am with).

If you phone has bluetooth then that is the easiest way to connect. If not then you can try infra-red or a datacable, but to be honest, if your phone doesn't have bluetooth then their won't be too much support for it, drivers etc. So a data card mite be best, (of course you have to have a laptop not PC for that).

Not true, you can get a USB data modem.

Not technically called a PC card (old name PCMCIA card) anymore if it's USB. So what I said is TRUE, but point taken Wink

So:
Get a PC from BT, plug in a USB via your G3/GPRS, make sure you're not PAYG with O2 and away U GO.

Got that?
