The Arsenal income won't include revenue from the increase in stadium size though will it? I assume it will grow next season.

Even with the new stadium, Arsenal will take approx £1m less than Man U per home game - summit like that anyway

Lol
Why he turned down city and spurs i will ever know.

Yeah, LOL.

However, I find it hard to believe that he is getting anywhere near the £128 million quoted in the papers. Surely the figure is just spin to show the American public that there is a new boy in town to match its homeland superstars.

I mean, in his team, the star player is Donovan Bailey - a massive £450,000 transfer from Bayern Leverkusen!

LOL

no what did it say?

Chelsea have 20million fans worldwide and 3.8 million in England alone (club figures)

Arsenal have 30million fans worldwide and 2 million in England alone (wow that Chelsea figure looks very realistic now!)

Tottenham Hotspur have 4.3 million fans worldwide with 1.4 in England.

Arsenal - 30M Fans Worldwide (2M in UK) = £10.2M Merchandising income
Chelsea - 20M Fans Worldwide (3.8M in UK) = £7.7M Merchandising income
Spurs - 4.3M Fans Worldwide (1.4M in UK) = £5.2M Merchandising income

we (Leeds) have more than that. About 50m fans worldwide. (6m in UK)

The figures seem to go up and down like a yoyo depending on which paper you read. Although I can sort of understand why he has gone there (under the thumb), I would have liked to have seen him back in the prem.

The figures are complete guess work and mean very very little, apart from possibliy the money it has the potential to make.

I know. All this "Arsenal have 30million fans" when 26million of em are Chinese rice pickers, with no loyalty and more importantly to the club - no money!

A big club (fan wise) you should evaluate the following

Season ticket sales + number on waiting list

Fee paying memberships

Worldwide merchandising sales/figures

Thats closer but i'm still not that convinced. That would depend on marketing of things such as memberships etc.

I am amazed at the level of demand for arsenal and tottenham season tickets... why the hell didnt they make the emerites 80,000? I remember the day we had a 30,000 waiting list, however once the supply came along the number of take ups was unsuprisingly small.

They couldn't get planning permission without it going to a public enquiry (which in all honesty could have jeopardised the whole project)

As for our demand for season tickets, our ground is too small. We have 23,000 season ticket holders now, with 30k on the list (predictions of 40k next season) That is why we have brought in Sir Keith Mills to help polish up our current stadium (or relocate) and imporve the Spurs brand overseas...

I mean we only have 4.3 million fans, Chelsea have 20 million! Cheesy
