Greg Howard has infomred me that he down to a paltry 120k with the blinds at 10/20k, so it's pretty much do or die time.
"I'm pretty much going to stick it in this round and hope for the best. The guy next to me (Nelson) is in the same position too."

I dont see why people are gettin on paul parkers back here for folding a hand. Ive never met the guy but heard he is a nice guy from a few other people.
Me personally am not good enough to put some1 on the 1 hand that beats me, and would have gone with my 99 on that board, but that is not relevant at all.
When you are at the poker table, you are making decisions on whats best for you, not to please the onlookers. Whatever decison you make at the table, as long as you are happy with it, then it shouldnt be criticised IMO. If Paul parker is happy with himself at the fold then who is anyone else to tell him otherwise. As for the guy who said that he is mainly cash game player so would be waiting for the nuts to put his money in, please, if you think thats how high stakes cash games work, please pull up a seat at my table!
Want to make it clear im not getting on his back. Just saying i disagree with Tikays line where he emphasises survival, not winning.
Tikay is referring to surviving years on the poker scene not surviving to cash in 1 comp

Nelson has allowed himself to get very low indeed, looks like he only has 60k.

Battle of the blinds.
Flop =
Nelson checks, Howard bets 30k, Nelson folds and Howard shows
, a little disappointed that he didn't receive a call.

I interviewed Paul Parker for Poker 425. Here's an extract.
"What is your greatest achievement in Poker, Paul?"
"Survining in the top flight for 20 years, without a doubt. I've seen so many come & go, & I'm still there, at the table, having fun. What more could any poker player wish for?"

Foer me, a tough call - I marginally go for Praz, the experience of winning his Bracelet in the 2006 WSOP may just tell.

Fair enough, we all have different aims.
Wasnt being personal, was commending him for trusting his interests which many ppl dont. Just adding my two cents worth.
The cash game line was mildly sarcastic for anyone who thought otherwise.

Ian has moved all-in...
It's only 34k, so Karl Marhrenholz is pretty much obliged to call from the big blind.
Karl =
Ian =
Something for everyone on the flop.
Turn =
River =
He must have alligator blood! Double up for Nelson, but he's still painfully short.
