As for the other Request Followees - they're going well:
Kim Vevle 14,000
Simon Persson 13,000
Ghassan El'Hoss 3,600
John Conroy 30,000
Saw Mr. Conroy play a hand, calling the cutoff's preflop raise on the button and seeing a heads-up flop of
. Cutoff (Andreas Bardum) bet out 1,000. Quick call.
Turn:
Andreas bets out 3k. Very quick call. Oh how uncomfortable to be out of position...
River:
. Check-check and John shows a winning
.

This chap may be more familiar, especially to the veterans, as it is none other than 1983 World Champion Tom McEvoy, currently being interviewed by Poker Stars.
Whethere you like them or not, his books were partly responsible for getting me into poker.
Please don't hold that against him though...

Dick Slade P.I.
has been on the case recently, reporting the odd anecdote to keep us amused.
The lastest is when he and Iwan Jones were in America, and the announcer of the tournament kept calling out for a EYE-WAN JONES. "EYE-WAN JONES, IS THERE AN EYE-WAN JONES IN THE ROOM?!"
Reminds me in a round about way when Paul Jackson was told off for not speaking English at the table, even though he was.

**************40 minute dinner break**************
Just ran into Kinboshi in the hallway who looks pretty perky, discussing short stack Day Two tactics with Mr. Slade... we'll get round to that tomorrow...

John Kabbaj is still quietly plugging away with 11,425 (not too much progress there, but still in).
Meanwhile, just across the table, is WSOP 2006 finalist, Erik Friberg, struggling with just 6,400 in chips.

Jim Kerrigan is not a happy chappy for the following reason...
Board =
7k pot
Both players check.
River =
Lasse Laursen moves all-in for 6,925
"Will you show if I call?" ask Kerrigan.
"Hmm, mumble, mumble, mumble" (I couldn't make out the response)
After an relatively lenghty dwell, Jim decides to pass, only for his opponent to slam (in a nicey nicey way)
Ouch, The Hit Squad takes a Hit and Kerrigan is down to 6,175 as a result.

There's a photographer here called Neil, top man! But I used one of his piccies recently and forgot to credit him. Naughty me!
Anyhow, to return the favour... I'm gonna shamefully plug his site.
http://www.bigslickpictures.com
But spamming aside, if you fancy looking at some EPT pics, then Neil has been to most of them. Well worth a butchers!

Yesterday I was in the lift when I encountered a rather surreal moment. Because there are so many floors, the lift is always stopping and starting. On one floor we stopped, the doors opened, and acorss the hallway was an open door which led to Marcel Luske sitting down having his haircut. On hearing the door open, Marcel turned to look at us. Silence struck before the doors shut and we continued hurlting down. For some reason though, it was highly surreal. It reminded me of two films - first something from the Truman Show, as if I had just stumbled on actors in my life being prepared, and secondly, but rather more creepily, that rabbit costume scene in The Shining where the bunny suddenly turns to look at the voyeur. In fact, it was just like that but without the rabbit costume and the haircut process instead of er... the other stuff.
Very odd!

It's the rest of the world that's strange. Fuschia's what normal people wear.

The Prize Pool info has been shared by the benificent Mad Harper:
Total pool: 13,824,000, which she said was, "£2.50." Not quite...still a hefty chunk of change in Euro - 1.8 mil.
1 DKK 4078080 = €547,177
2 DKK 2308608 = €309,773
3 DKK 1340928 = €179,928
4 DKK 1022976 = €137,254
5 DKK 843264 = €113,142
6 DKK 663552 = €89,028
7 DKK 525312 = €70,481
8 DKK 373248 = €50,083
9-10 DKK 228096 = €30,606
11-12 DKK 179712 = €24,114
13-14 DKK 138240 = €18,547
15-16 DKK 96768 = €12,983
17-24 DKK 76032 = €10,201
25-32 DKK 55296 = €7,419
33-40 DKK 41472 = €5,564
TOTAL:13,824,000
Converting those took a while. Snoopy's getting stories to fill the gap.
