Despite awful travelling conditions, 88 hardy souls made it to Luton for the £500 Double Chance, and what a quallity field it was, with Bolton GUKPT 1st & 2nd Praz & Karl present, about to be a Dad-againThewy, J P Kelly, Lord Wernick, Woodley, Stuart Nash, Red-Dog, Tighty, Denis O'Mahoney (Irish Denis), John Hewston, Bad Beat Channing, Jim Reid & local specialists Jim McShane, Jeff Rogers & Ian "Expressman" Needham all present & correct. Greyhound Trainer Mick "Slick Kid" McCool, fresh from victory over a large field in Dublin had already won the Luton £200 Final in a canter, but busted early when his QQ lost a race, & £200 Finalist (6th) Carlo Citrone too.

The PRO numbered amongst it's members chairman Colchester Kev (with THE most dreadful haircut), Poppet, InTheBelly & RookieITB.

88 runners in total (£44,000) & 25 return at 2.30 on Friday, with blinds about to go 1k-2k on a 45 minute clock, wtrh the average around 33k.

good luck to tikay, other blondes and the locals

Pete L typically wears a bright yellow fleece. So what. However he also wears what appears to be an extraordinay red knitted visor when he is playing. Quite the most remarkable piece of headgear I have ever seen someone under the age of 50 wearing.

Completely nutty fella, but seems nice enough!!

Its 77Dave here on pokermuppet's computer

im still in as well  even though tikay has forgotten to mention me in the overnight chip counts

you would have thought that the fact i have been on his table the whole night he might of remembered me but bless him he is getting on a bit

i have had good chips the whole way through and was chip leader on the table for 90% of the night but 2 crippling pots near the end mean im coming back as the short stack

need to find a hand or two early

Yet another tikay Bubble, 10th, though a "saver" had been proposed by Lord Wernick & agreed by all so I got £500.

I was trundling along nicely with 10 left, when disaster struck, out of a clear blue sky, as they say. My AK suited looked good enough, snatimaras woke up with KK & started shovelling his stack in, another geezer liked his QQ & he could not get his chips in the middle fast enough. When that happens "on the bubble" you know you have a problem, I thought the minimum they could have were Aces. Ah well, it was a terrific comp, I played as well as I am able, no mistakes really, & I enjoyed every minute, I really did.
