....on the floor, behind the dealers chair!

This was on Day One of the £500 at Luton, there were, incredibly, the  on the floor, face up, behind the dealers chair, between Tables 6 & 7.

Play on both tables was immediately stopped, the cards counted (BOTH Tables were using the same coloured deck), & play eventually resumed, but not before a fair bit of moaning & groaning from guys that had played AK & missed.

What an extraordinary thing! Assuming there was no skullduggery involved, a quite remarkable thing that it should be a pair of Kings, too.

So were the two cards missing from one of the decks in play ?

Yes, from the "other table" (i.e., not mine) thankfully.

I think that might be how I managed to crack Kings twice in one days poker..........Always good to know that they have no outs when you go in with your 10's or AK suited. In fairness I was low stacked at the time but not quite as low stacked as I was when I cracked the 10's wit 8,6 off at the start of day 2. The flop comes 4,7,5.............ah it is lovely to be blessed

It's difficult enough to play KK in the hope of hitting a set without this kind of thing happening.  Tongue

Someone obviously got a bit too enthusiastic about throwing away their pair of kings.

With this, and Horneris getting robbed of £35 in Leeds(?) with the thief allowed back in, I think Flushy's opinion on poker clubs not being as reliable as casinos is looking a bit more flimsy.

how the hell did you manage to spot them is what I'm wondering, you struggle to see past the end of your nose usually. Maybe it was just a miss read and you thought someone had dropped a £20 or £50 and you were shocked to find KK sitting down there.

No, I can see things that are a long way off, it's just things that are close I can't see.

If I wanna read a newspaper without my glasses, I put the paper on the floor & stand on a chair.

Yes, the situation obviously called for a strong laydown. Sometimes by the river your big pair is so far behind that the only place for them is right under the table. We've all done it...
