Amazing match, very high quality indeed, and it was a nineteen year old versus a twenty year old.

These two could be disputing the number one spot for the next decade, when Federer retires.

That's the key bit!  Nadal might give Federer a run for his money on clay, but Roger is probably the best player of all time (in my opinion).

Good to see that Murray is improving, and not flattering to deceive.  Just needs a personality now...

Im sure one time in the future he will be able to win a Grand Slam, well maybe if Federer is injured or something. At least hes more of a prospect than Henman ever was, but needs to work on his fatigue and when hes losing not pretend he has an injury like usual

I think Dan is a bit harsh on Murray. He has more passion and personality than Henman (bottler) ever did.

I think Murray showed that in a couple of years he will be in the top 5 and maybe win a grand slam, if Federer is injured, but that goes without saying.

I thought he played very well, and i enjoyed the match.

Federer is a god.

If it wasn't for Nadal being the best clay court player of all time, Federer would win every Grand Slam event - most probably without dropping a set.

It was a good performance. If he works on the psychological element of his game, and gets a little more tough mentally....I can see him winning several slams throughout his career. He lost it in the second set, and there were a few instances in the fourth where he was unlucky, then blew break points..and never really got over it.
In a year or two he will be knocking on the door in finals regularly I'm sure.

Yeah, but that's like saying Tikay is younger than Moses.  It hardly means he's a spring chicken does it?

Murray shows some personality and hunger when he plays, but off the court....he's....dour.  If he's winning, I really don't care though.  He's got far more potential than Henman had, and if Federer is out of the way for whatever reason then he does have a good chance at winning a slam.  Won't be Wimbledon though, but one of the hard courts.  Maybe the US is the best one for him?

When Federer is out, Murray should get his coach...

I don't get why tennis players get mocked soemtimes for not having a flamboyant personality. Sure the Mcenroes and Connors livened up the game, but I enjoy watching the quiet, unassuming, all dominant federer dismantling his opponents with flawless, beautiful tennis more so than a guy whooping and hollering on the court.

Andy Murray has a great game. The fact he can take the clear 2nd best player in the world so close in a grand slam event shows the progress he is making, and I think he'll make top 3/4 in the world eventually. I watched the match with some Majorcan friends, where nadal hails from, and all of them were amazed at how good murray is.

He's got some titantic matches ahead of him in his career vs the federers nadals roddicks and if he keeps his progress going, I think he'll take down a GS event at some point.

I have never been a big Henman fan, but he will still be dangerous at Wimbledon. He is a great grass court player.

I heard that Marcelo Rios was making a comeback a while ago, but I have heard nothing else. Gustavo Kuerten was also a great clay court player winning 3 French titles. Both these guys are still only in their late 20's/early 30's. These two could have tested Nadal at their peak. I agree though that Nadal is head and shoulders above all other clay court players

edit.  my mistake, it was the seniors tour he meant  Cheesy

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marcelo_R%C3%ADos

He was a fantastic clay court player and I honestly feel he could have tested Nadal

I do not think Federer even has a coach. When he did, he only used him occasionally Cheesy
