Russell Hoult was with us as a kid and left to join Derby after a few first team appearances
His first form was being done for kerb crawling after training, in the streets around the old Baseball Ground.
He has since been caugth on several occasions and was forced to leave Derby as a result
Ah yes the Hot Dog Kid !!
So called as he made his first team debut about 15 years ago when Leicester's keeper was injured shortly before the start of a game. Russell Hoult was then summoned from the crowd, where he was sat quietly enjoying a pre match hot dog, to replace him!!
Live TV game as I recall....and I believe our hero kept a clean sheet too!
Classic example of the downward spiral of anyone who leaves the mighty Foxes!
Also must be a "hot dog" and "spit roast" joke to be made somewhere!
