More interested in FTP tbh.
My team is still ticking along ok.
5/6 in FC, but it bores me
2/8 in OD with no chance of going up or down
8/12 in 20/20, can't go down unless one of 9th or 10th win massively twice.
Why's that Asa? I've never looked at FTP, Is it better/different than Battrick? faster moving?

Six weeks and no Battrick posts....have we all lost interest?
Anyway here's my season so far.....
Top of my OD Div V with 8/8 wins and promotion is pretty much there if I want it. But looking at some of those divisions I'll get hammered as I've only been playing two years
As first X1 are not fit enough to play FC & OD I'm likely relegated from FC VIII but might get out of it with best team playing.
BT20 is a formaility as I'm in a low VI vs bots and newbies.
Toying with putting effort into FC at expense of OD promotion
especially since I have 4/5 trainees completing next season which might give me a chance of staying up in ODIV the following season.
Playing my first XI has meant a draw against league leaders and now victory, against team who were 2nd, in my last two games. Both hammered me by an innings first time round!
However still probably too much to do as I sadly only took 35 pts from first five games!
Need to organise some serious stamina training so my best, especially bowlers, can play more games. What levels are you guys typically training stamina up to on a) batsmen and b) bowlers?
My top 14/15 players are all Strong or Superb but a big innings or lots of overs the still struggle to recover for the next match.
Next 3 games will define my season. Need to beat the top sides in OD to avoid another play off down and a 1st vs 2nd game in FC to see who takes top spot.

BT is essentially a game of training and trading. Do that right, accumulate more cash (= better players), win.
In FTP you actually have a squad of players (and they all train) so you get interesting decisions on who to play, what pitch to pick etc
It also helps that we joined in season 1 so we're some of the best teams in the game (I won the cup last season!)
If you like BT it's well worth signing up and giving it a shot.

Agreed. Bongo got a damn fine 1st squad, mine was pretty good, and I've had to come from Div V. We're now in season 8, and I'm currently top of Div 1 after 8 wins out of 8. I find FTP much more of a challenge, BT I find as Bongo says, lots of trading etc.

I'd probably sell and buy someone who isn't much worse for significantly less. He should have a decent chance at U19s and people pay more for that privilege.

The player above is Superb/Remarkable/Quality min, worth 8million + on 4/3 nets a week for just over 2 seasons - play the long game IMO
Wages gone up by 25K a week at the Magicians must be doing something right at last, now just to build a squad.
