Just been checking his home league fixtures this season for an idea of the scores he's been making and...

Total (41.1 overs, 5 wickets) 217 (all he needed to chase, so not really helpful)
Total (50.0 overs, 8 wickets) 296
Total (42.0 overs, 1 wickets) 299 (he won the match at this point)
Total (32.3 overs, 1 wickets) 209 (likewise)
Total (50.0 overs, 9 wickets) 335 (amazingly, this was a losing score)

Against that background, it looks borderline competitive.

I think the key for me is to dislodge this opening partnership (BT ratings 13,000+ and 10,000+) early doors.  All his team are pretty strong, but these two are off the scale compared to players I've faced before (other than Bongo's team I think).

I've not made 5 figures in BTR yet!

I will do soon though - especially if the form bug gets fixed and my best players make it to Superb/Superb form for a nice boost in BTR.

He doesn't seem to have much batting past his top order.

He needs > 6 an over which will be hard to do with just his top order unless they have great stamina. If they stay in they'll get tired and stop scoring so fast, if they get out worse batters come in and have to score quickly too.

I've got my primo-bowlers in at 1,2 and 3 but I took a calculated risk down the order.  I dropped a 7,000 rated competent bowler who has twice returned figures of 0-60+ since I bought him in favour of a 2,100 rated player with mediocre bowling and batting who has consistently been one of the better bowlers when he's played and has a career economy rate of 3.67 in one-day games.

Seemed a logical decision until his form moved to worthless in batting and bowling (which I spotted at 10:11am today, one minute after the deadline to change the team).

Players with worthless form can still perform ok.

They're clubbing you around a bit now but still not getting ahead of the RRR.

Once they get tired it will start going up

My match is tense to watch.  They're keeping slightly ahead of my relative score at the same stage with remarkable consistency, but the run-rate is over 7 for them now.  Its going to be close I think.

Went in to a tense last over needing to concede less than 11 runs to win.

However, my bowler doesn't like to do the simple things and keep it tight....

    The umpire hesitates for a caught behind appeal from Brown, but Austin decided to walk anyway.

    The batsmen mistimes his shot and bottom edges onto the stumps. That was the equivalent of a gimmie to the fielding side.
