Ram your squad looks like it could be competitive  . . I am still two players from having a good 11.  From there I can save and build I guess.  I also feel I struggle with my order both bat and bowl, but am starting to work some stuff out.

Good luck in the weeks ahead.

Bongo when the 20/20 came around you posted the bowling pattern, you don't know where I can find the standard ones do you?

Cup:
Bongo
Tractor
Yogi
Ironside
Bazza
Booder
Sheriff
Nakor
Divaflava
Wardonkey
Kingjon
Pokerram
TheBigO
Cossie Crusaders
Monkey Matt

I make that 15.

Have I missed anyone?

Easy enough to draft another in if not.

How is this for a plan:

4 Groups of 4, randomly drawn, play each team home and away.
Top 2 from each go through to quarter finals.

So 6 weeks for the groups, 3 weeks for the knock out - cup finished with plenty of the season to spare and everyone gets plenty of games.

Sounds OK with me.  How about the bottom two teams then go to a 'plate' knockout to run alongside it.  It should be competitive as the league will have 'naturally sorted' the teams and everyone stays involved for a bit longer.

OK, now I'm confused.

My league table shows the following:

4.     Isabel     1     1     0     0     4     -0.05
5.    The Soho Pimps    1    0    0    1    0    0.05

Soho Pimps got 265 from 50.0 overs, Isabel got 266 from 49.3.  How is their NRR negative?

There must be some form of rounding error going on, although I can't see how...

Report as a bug on the bugs sledging board and they should figure it out.

I'm fine with that, although if we end up with a "group of death" in the first place it might not be.

Do people think another random draw for the quarter finals or make it so winners of group A play runners up in group B (etc)

Just wanted to say, if I have missed anyone off it's not intentional so just tell me I'll add you in.

If anyone else wants to join in too just say and we'll tweak the format to fit you in.

I think start it the week after next to give us enough time to sort the fixtures out before the challenges go out for the first game.

Rested all my best players/trainees for the cup fixture today (need to maintain their fitness and I was never going to win), took it easy.

End of Over 49: 153-10, runrate=3.12

Not bad against a div 2 side (who undoubtedly are on TIE with best players rested) - I was scared of being skittled!

Another abject batting display.  Another hammering which won't help my pessimistic morale lol.  Hopefully my batsmen find some form in time for Friday or I'll be long odds on for relegation.
