Friendlies don't change morale so you should be ok on that front.

My match was a little one sided:

Code:
                Me        Yorkshire Terriers
Top Order:      feeble    superb
Middle Order:   woeful    competent
Lower Order:    worthless abysmal
Seam Bowling:   feeble    proficient
Spin Bowling:   feeble    competent
Fielding:       woeful    feeble

i need 6 off 6 overs with 6 wickets in hand against wardonkey

my all rounder trainee who was put in just to bat today got a 50 and is still

my wicket keeper got a quick 50 and is still in

my top buy last season got a 4 wicket hall apart from that

the poor form of my batsmen is still causing problems

I don't think it helped bazza that the pitch was perfect for Rock, who promptly took a 5 for. He's pesky at the best of times, never mind when the conditions suit him!

on the debt from i am quite happy

last week i went into 180k+ into debt

i got a 60k gate which knocked me down to 120k

this week i thought i was going to struggle and intrest would kill me

even with 5k in intrest payments to make and a gate of 1.4k for the freindly

i will make a profit this week of 3.4k

my debt should be cleared after my next 2 league Home games then i can concentrate on my team for next season in div6

And that's the end of the match. SheriffsStars won by 6 wickets.
Jellystone Parkers   211-8
SheriffsStars   212-4

Very satisfying win for my reserves and fringe players today.  I fielded a totally different 11 to the one which played on Friday and, on paper, this made this game look to be a very close match-up.

Based on today's display, some of them may well be playing the league game on Friday.

I needed another of my batsmen to hang around and make a decent score but instead Harris was left stranded, I think 250ish would have been a competitive score.  I really need to add more depth to my batting though as if I lose some early wickets I end up in trouble.  It wasn't a problem in the league last season as I tended to demolish the opposition but this season I think it will cost me.  Will be GFI on Friday and hopefully get back on track.

I had a nice showing today against a Div 4 team - lost but had rested players (a new experience), played a couple of trainees (another new experience) a couple of whom did very well.  Managed to score at 6 an over but ran out wickets 20 or so short when my tail wagged for 1 run from the last 5 wickets if memory serves.  I am going to be a force in Div 6 next season I can feel it.

Depends on his other stats, eg:

http://www.battrick.org/nl/playerDetails.asp?playerID=1080923

Stamina: competent     Wicket Keeping: woeful
Batting: worthless        Concentration: woeful
Bowling: strong           Consistency: respectable
Fielding: respectable

He's currently going for > 2 mill

I would say if you have lots of money already then keep him.

If you don't and you're going down this season then probably sell him, get a new trainee to replace him and he'll be a good player for you in div 6 next season and 5 the season after. You can then use the interest earned from your cash to develop more quickly.

I'm keeping my 18yos, but I did just sell a 20yo for just under 1 mill, so will easily be able to build a cash pile and also reckon my season will be ok with a top 4 finish - although without the 18yos (my 2 best bats) I'd be pretty screwed!

edit: If I was going to sell I would set a high asking price though to ensure he didn't go cheaply (you'd be better off keeping him in that case).

I got a fielding pop today on my 17yo all rounder, which is nce as it means his fielding isn't too far behind where I want it to be.

It depends on their stamina and how much of a contribution they made in the game.

One of my trainees played on friday, received 3 nets and his fitness is currently at "energetic", he'll be sublime by friday and will be fine. Another played and had 2 nets and is currently fresh, so will probably make the side (if he is at invigorated+) on friday but I will have to look to rest him soon. Will also play him a bit lower down the order so he only bats if the team really need him too.

One of mine had 3 nets and played every match and every friendly for me last season and was fine, also the higher the players stamina the higher his fitness will recover.
