have you guys tried the batsman tool great for keeping an eye on whose popping and whose form is moving also keeps a record on how many nets you have given a player and how close to popping he is

I do it all in my head Wink

Just a stamina pop today, should be about time for some more primary pops in the next few weeks!

the batman tool is here:
http://www.mazarin-software.com/

I just use the player notes section to note down pops and then you can figure out (to the same degree of accuracy) when they are next going to pop by using the training times from the battrick helpfile. If you don't have a membership though it gets a bit harder as pops aren't a nice green colour.

I tried Batman and didn't like it. I also found it gave some odd results when ranking my players in skill order.

I take it the skill decrease was stamina on an older player (32+)?

Training times are available for secondary pops too, I just do the same on them.

i dont use it to rank my players as i think its wieghted wrong
i only got tool recently and it was upgraded at weekend to keep track of all previous matches so i can now see how my players are performing on what type of pitch etc etc and the pops is so much eaier than working out

player x is getting fielding net bowling net and 2 batting nets he should pop in conc in x weeks and cons in y weeks

one click of button and it tells me

I found it took me longer to keep it updated though.

I've been trying the battrick archiver for keeping track of performances, not sure how useful it is as yet.

I prefer the BTTool v4.1 spreadsheet. I like the way you can change the skills formula weighting to suit your own preferences.

Cohen (my 17yr old trainee) finally popped in batting today to bring up the full house of batting, concentration and wk pops since the start of the season Smiley

Also had the stamina pop on a bowler I was expecting, so all good.

3 pops for me today - the best of which was one of my 17 y.o. going upto proficient bowling Smiley

Happy days, until i noticed my best player's rating:  42,161 (-3547) ... what a drop!!

Isn't their a better way to buy players on this game? I spotted a bargain on the transfer market, a 22 year old spin bowler who was mediocre or competant in stamina, batting, bowling, fielding, concentration and consistencty for only £2000 last night so put a bid in for £3000. Kept an eye on him this morning as bidding finished at 11:46 and no-one showed any sign of interest in him whatsoever (at one point i began to wonder if he only had one arm or something!! Cheesy).

However 10 minutes before deadline i got called away from my desk at work and by the time i got back the deadline had passed by 2 minutes. I checked my squad and there was no sign of the player, i checked his transfer history and he was bought for £4000 - obviously someone jumped in at last minute and gazumped me Sad

must grumble.....

You wait till you can stay at your desk time your bid to perfection only to see another 3 minutes added onto the time of the auction 'to allow others the chance to bid' - only thing that spoils the game IMO.  Just turns into who has the deepest pockets.  Rebuy city almost.

yeah that's my impression so far - most of the decent players are being sold at rediculous amounts to start with so its even harder to find a bargain. Then when i do if the cutoff point of the auction is any time between 00:00 and 18:00 i may struggle to be about to make sure my bid is successful. I did find a player a few days back - put a bid in for £3000, two minutes before auction finished i am still highest bidder for £3000. 14 minutes later he signed for me but cost me £15000 Sad
