I've started a separate sign up thread for the Cup in case anyone misses this.  All those who confirmed on this list have been added already.

GG Friday Bongo.

Tiredness was a killer for me it seems the 2000 odd runs scored in the previous 3 games finally took its toll.

Good luck getting up this season.

meh, my attempt to bring the cricketing "Robinhio's" to the small unfashionable clubs in the world of battrick was shortlived

Think the guy paying 15mill is mad and will be going busto soon.

Had a typical ridic battrick loss today. Typical batting collapse and then after getting him 13-3 he takes my attack apart with an average batting lineup.

I missed out on qualification when I lost by 6 runs chasing - while only losing 1 wicket.

Fatigue hits are really odd - I had one guy drop to energetic, but it turned out it was a bug and he's back to Sublime, thus I've played most of my first team for the week (all rounder has been resting, he's not back to sublime yet!)

The mid point of the season and i cant really complain - i won my First Class league before a ball was bowled, but then it was division 6 after being in an impossible division 5 last year.........

     Team                           P   W   L   D   T   Bat   Bowl   Points
1.  Matts Monkeys               7   7    0   0   0    35     21      154
2.  Les Ambassadeurs          7   5    2   0   0    24     18      112
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
3.  Alright Mate                   7   3    1   3    0   23      20       97

For my One Day League my plan was to try and win promotion within 3 seasons - this is season 3. I'm not the best team in the division but cannot complain with the start. Especially with my 200+ win against the leagues best team - i think however he didnt take my challenge seriously and fielded a weakened team so its going to be an interesting couple of weeks with my first two games being against 3rd then 2nd the following week. If i lose to 2nd but keep the game close then i should go on to win the division on run rate, however i feel that this will mean that i will end up having to play a play-off game to win promotion so i want to try and win the league undefeated to prepare for a season in the leagues 4th tier

Team                      Pld  Won Tie Lost Points Net RR
1.   Matts Monkeys           7      7    0    0     28     31.64
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
2.   Woolton Hill Reeders   7      6    0    1     24     24.32
3.   Unknown Pleasures     7      4    0    3     16      6.13

Didnt really think i'd qualify for the next round of the BT20/20 being just the third best team in the division and after we both lost to the best team in the league it was a do or die game againts the second best team in the league. With 4 overs to go needing 62 runs to win and only scoring 10 off the first of the 4 overs i didnt hold out much hope with my number 4 and 6 batsmen in. 17 off the 3rd last over, 17 off the penultimate over set up a grandstand finish needing 18 off the last over. 14 off the first 5 balls meant my number 6 had to hit a boundry off the last ball to win.

weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Team                      Pld Won Tie Lost Points Net RR
1.   3 Shredded Wheat     6    6     0     0     24    44.91
2.   Matts Monkeys           6    5     0     1     20    18.26
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
3.   Jorvik Celtic C.C.         6    4     0     2     16    18.61

So far so good with one game to go i should qualify for the knockout at the end of the season - hopefully the second half of the season will be as rewarding as the first Smiley

I think one of my bowlers had quite a lot of shredded wheat this morning:

Foot 3-2-1-8

Against a human side!

Also managed to get an exquisite rating for my top order!  Grin
