Yes it will be close to the City of Manchester stadium some 10 minutes walk from my tree house. All this means now is that there will be even more people walking around Eastlands Wastelands with empty pockets and shattered dreams feeling like they've been robbed

Any news on when it will be built? Hope they put in a decent sized card room. Only 30 minutes away for me. I thought Blackpool or London would have won but Manchester does make sense geographically.

Nothing for us mate .... a casino in our neck of the woods would be a gold mine ... no competition.

Maybe they'll set up a cardroom sponsored by an online site like VC and Loose Cannon? Or would that not be allowed under gaming regs?

They don't offer poker in their casinos at present and are against doing it because they make more money from all the other games, so I wouldn't hold your breath.....

At the Atlantis resort they dont offer tournament poker because its illegal there as they dont count it as being a casino game. Pokerstars have to obtain a special license to run their WPT event there.
