Going to have to call this as his betting doesnt seem to make any sense.  If he had picked up the club draw on the turn he would surely have bet again.  I think I would have to put him on a heart draw and call.

But betting $125 to win $87?

He's only in for $20 before the river?

He could of course have Ac5c or Ac9c but you have shown weakness on the flop and turn - so if he's bluffing he's going to bet enough to make you think hard about calling.

I think you should have checked called this River, too many re-raising hands can be made on that River, plus it leaves someone the opportunity to push you off a better hand with a bluff.

Personally, I prefer to fold on the Flop. Out of position with a non-nutty flush draw - not keen. For me, if I hit, I'm unlikely to get paid as everyone else will slow down, yet I leave myself open to doing my whole stack against a bigger flush.

If I am going to call the Flop, I will bet out the Turn when a non-heart arrives.

ps. I'd just fold on the River, unless he's an idiot, you're only beating a stonecold bluff, and when it comes to re-raising Rivers, they are too infrequent to take the risk of calling. The only hand I can imagine he has that you're beating is the missed flush draw, say .

Thanks Snoops.

I agree with all of this (especially my flop play) and did fold the river I just wasn't 100% sure I should have.

Really interesting hand. Carterboy is a major winning player at those levels, but this doesnt add up. I think its a borderline call here.

If he has a made hand on the flop, he surely bets the turn also. If he thinks your drawing hand hasnt arrived, he could well trying a bluff, figuring thats all your bet means. But the bet is v. large.

Only hand that matches the betting is KhJh. But he is in the SB........

i dunno.

He is very good and capable bluffing here if he thinks I'm full of it.

I guess that's why I'm so confused.

Why, what are you trying to represent here?

Baron is in the small blind and could have any decent holding that would check call a Flop bet and then bet out on the Turn, eg. 9-5, Q-9, Q-5, 9-9, 5-5, decent Q - should scare any marginal holdings into folding.

In online cash games, you don't want to worry too much about the story you're telling. If your opponent is weak, then he'll probably fold. Most player's thinking doesn't strech as far as you think.
