Sunday 9pm BBc2

I have enjoyed his earlier programmes, I like his deliberate and tongue in cheek innocence to encourage his subjects into opening up

This one should be good, heaven knows what characters he will find sitting on the slots for day after day...

but I'm sure he asks her if she'll run out of money - she pauses for a short while (presumably assessing her life expectancy) and says "No"

Yeh I lilke Louis theroux. I always thought his approach was to come across a bit of a likeable idiot so people feel comfortable and not manipulated, whilst he's actually sharper than he llets on.

Incidentally my mate is the absolute spit of louis, so much so he gets stopped in the street and asked for his autograph.

What are the odds he'll 'bump into' Jean Scott, the 'coupon queen' (and author of 'The Frugal Gambler') who seems to be the old granny that always features in these types of programme?

I watched this and all i can say is Louis looked rightfully scared when the Orange County skinheads/nazis/white supremists (delete as appropriate) asked for the camera to be turned off. All the time he was there he refused to say wether or not he was Jewish and this seemed to wind up his host's.
My impression of Louis like others here is a slightly comical but very intelligent man who has a very good way of getting under peoples skin if he wants to. Also very brave, he had Christina Hamilton almost slobbering over him, that was probably more intimidating than the encouter with the skinheads.

Cheers Tighty,

Missed this completely, I thought his first series was a classic.
The porn industry one was funny, I seem to recall one agent said he could work for him if he wanted lol.
Though the straight guy doing gay porn was weird, but hilarious when Louis was trying to help him rehearse his lines on the way there.
Second series was both great and awful, I actually thought Paul Daniels came out of it very well. After watching it my opinion of them changed completely to that of...actually, they're just a sweet couple.
Though Saville was confirmed as somewhat "eccentric".

Lol, yes I think 'eccentric' is possibly an understatement. I know a few things about Ol' Jimmy that would suprise you..and possible turn your stomach lol..Wouldn't be right to air them on here though. Lips Sealed
