ditto Jacob Oram - he can accumulate tons of runs when on form.

The grounds the Aussies are playing on are tiny so Andrew Symonds or Gilchrist may be worth a stab too.

Thought Symonds was out now?

Still touch and go I think unless you have heard definitely - sportinglife was saying he is progressing well??

Symonds starts today.

Am I alone in thinking Freddie losing the vice captainship is a good thing?  I'm quite pleased really.  I don't really care what he did but I don't think that one of the best all rounders in the world should have the added responsibilty of being captain/vice captain.  He has enough on his plate playing.  The incident is a great excuse to remove him from the position.  Bit like Henry at Arsenal, I really don't want him to be captain, he was better playing his normal game, but you can't really take it away without it looking like a demotion and I guess he's not likely to surrender it as it could look like he can't cope.  Thus, the perfect scenario is for the player to come across as being a bit of a jack the lad and strip him of it as punishment.

Can't see Henry doing something like that though Cheesy

Beefy was the same.

Yeah Silo I think Freddie's 'demotion' will be a blessing in disguise. I wouldnt be surprised if England now go deep in the tournament and maybe even make the final. They have no real expectation - 2 weaker sides have replaced the powerhouses of Pakistan and India, NZ are getting injuries and they have the power in both bowling and batting to upset all the sides left in.

My heart says NZ, Head Australia but England are the dark horses.
