"We have to confirm that we don’t use poker bots to fill in any tables especially during tournaments"

"especially during tournaments"

What does that mean?

Does any1 else think this response sounds kinda odd when you read it?

Absolutely - how can you say - "we dont use any bots - especially during tournaments"  You either do use them or you don't!

I hope that by using larger more established sites there will be more players so the need to use bots is less.

I play a lot of heads up and do well - if they're bots I'm fooling them by playing so badly they can't predict it!!  Grin

This thread is quite devastating news guys, especially as we are promoting this site on blonde at the moment. We will investigate & remove.

I have been listening to 'bot' theories for an awful long time but nobody ever comes up with any proof (this is the best I have seen). If a site exists where you can buy teams of bots, what is the name of it ? Are there any sites documenting that 'bots' def exits?

Funily I have been trying to get onto Titan for a week now, but they won't let me create an account, because they keep saying I am creating a duplicate account from the same household !

Ok before this gets out of hand guys.

How big was the buy inn to this tournament?
I know the people really well at Tiatn poker they are a skin of ipoker, if bots are used in this network it may not be Titan Poker that is using them but another skin.

They are doing blondepoker a good deal, on the 14th of October they are adding $5000 to our tournament plus $500 bounties on me and El Blondie. So I suggest play this event and take your money out after you win, no body will be exposed to bots since you will play only blondites.

Anyhow I hear so many things like partypoker is rigged, pokerstars is adjusted for bad players and most of all pacifcpoker has 50% bots playing, one thing about bots is that I can beat 99% of them right now. In tournament play they are especially bad since it is so difficult to write a strategy for a bot to play in a tournamnet, heads up limit there are real good programs. Anyhow I have a very good Australian friend that plays on Nolbe Poker every day (same skin as Titan Poker) and he thinks it is the easiest games on there online.

It may be unfortuante but bots are the future in online poker there will be more and more of them, I dont think that a bot can ever have a very big advantage in tournament play, but heads limit at 300-600 they are a problem.

Tony I'm Just telling you how i saw it, like i said it is just 1 person's view.. since you know these guy's well, do you know how many new members they are getting each month ?

It was a 1000 new depositors freeroll? It makes no difference that it was a freeroll. there was still 1k up for grab's. and as you know you get jumped by a live chat client  as soon as you first log on to put money in your account. And now it seems they even keep the freeroll money by winning it themselves. I don't mind dropping the whole thing. you live and learn.

PEACE

PS I didn't know they were affiliated with this site, for that reason i have edited my post's (not naming the site)

you can team up with your friends at winholdem apparently. i hate morons who develop bots but isn't it possible in this case that in a new player freeroll you're just up against really crap players? pretty sure that tony g wouldn't be involved in a site that uses bots. it must make it hard for new sites to get customers when these rumors start. just sticking to the big sites seems safest imo.

It is really not possible to have bots playing well in tournaments, in a free roll it just does not make sense to me. Even in heads up play me and erik123  have played bots for high stakes very recently, believe me they do not have an edge yet and it is very unlikely they will, I know how the  basis of a program works and it needs data to make adjustments, so the more you play one bot the better it should play. This is pending that the bot is run by IA (Artificial Intelligence)  software and is very advanced. Now in tournamnet play even heads up a bot has a huge disadvantage. Look at chess bots still can not beat humans all the time and that is a game where everything can be mathematically collculated.

Bundle I suggest that you play the big free roll for blondepoker on the 14th of October and take your money out no bots will be present for that event. So this givems me the pleasure to announce the great news to everyone that all blondite events will be bot free.

tony i think you need to expand on this a bit. were you playing that bot that is being developed by some university i think? i forget what it's called. if so who is putting up the high stakes? if not, ie you were playing at a site and suspect you were playing a bot shouldn't you name the site to protect others?

I agree with you it make's no sense.

They were not crap players, most were very calculated.
The only reason i can think of is because they are a struggling site and need to have players there to attract more players. I mean who's gonna play on a site with 20 players total. Now i'm not saying they only have 20 players but all sites have to start somewhere.. there was over 400 players in this, and i was told they had about the same last week. That's 800 new players in 2 week 80,000 in 6 months. is the site really doing that well. If so whats with the chat client bugging you when you log on for the first time. Thanks for the offer on the freeroll, but i have deleated the site and don't intend on playing there again..

Titan Poker get a lot of customers they are very fast growing site, I would say they get 500 new real money sign ups a day.

I just does not seem possible that they would give you a surprise free roll and then use bots against you, after all you did not come to this site to play this $1000 free roll. What you should do is analize every final table at Titan Poker that is payed and see if there is chat etc. take screen shots for us all as well. The support response was real funny, what  it tell me is that the support system is not automated, usually support would choose from 100 or so options how to reply to every complaint. This reply was typed, I need to tell them to automate there support. But I dont know them that well not any better then I know other sites and I am not sure what they are doing. All I know is that the allegations do not make sense to me in this case.

Pacific poker DOES have a lot of bots, i actually have one myself programmed specifically for pacific, though i did try it for a few minutes it was useless.
As Tony says this is gonna be a bigger and bigger problem and is gonna be impossible to police.
Just to correct something Tony said about chess, the top players in the world have all been beaten by computer programs over recent years, i remember Kasparov being beaten twice bt i believe Big Blue, if someone will google it you will see.

This is scarey. i registered with that "unmentionable" site today. I hate the ideas of bots, either operated by sites or players, sorry ifm.

Ok I understand that some have a financial interest in the site but also believe that they knew nothing of the bots.

After the blonde Comp I think I will probably cash out.

Who is in the freeroll for new depositors on the 1st October?
