without wanting to be rude, you have to really rate yourself to post a thread telling 5000 members you are leaving a forum.

This is the best poker forum around bar none.
The people that are running it would be stupid to not cover their costs for providing you with free entertainment.
If you feel that the forum has become commercial then good, it means it has become successful which Im sure most of us are happy about.
The Apat and Sky threads are no different to the 'William Hill grand Prix' or 'Ladbrokes poker million' threads that are posted by interested parties or interested posters.

If you dont want to contribute to the forum then thats your choice but to complain that you arent going to post because things have changed makes no sense. Everything changes.

I think ifm has done more to make this forum a nice place than all the people slagging him off put together.

I'm not sure what the actual complaint is:

-- blonde is too commerical.

Blonde would have folded, simple.

-- blonde isn't what it used to be.

more people, more posts, more arguments - natural progression, not much you can do, we're still better than everyone else.

-- I shouldn't have been given a final warning

well, you were, mods were just doing what they thought was best, get over it.

nobody is slagging anyone off we are taking the piss thats all. Nobody makes anyone come on here yet most of us are here every day. IFM has been a very good member in the blonde community and if he feels its time to move on then so be it, thats his decision. We can take the piss when he decides to tell us all he's moving on though- I would expect the same if I had a hissy fit and said I was offski.

Guys, debate away, all day & all night, but DO NOT be flaming anyone, on either side of the debate, or it will end in tears.

Thanks.

thats fair enough Mad but the complaints are about the people spending hours of their own time and their own money providing something for us to enjoy, by all means complain about content and comments but to question the people that spent many thousands of pounds getting this started finally breaking even coz of commercial branding is well a bit out of order really.

I think ifm has done more to make this forum a nice place than all the people slagging him off put together.

IFM contributes a lot to the forum but how can you possibly put a gauge on who has 'done more to make this forum a nice place'?

The people that have done the most for this forum are the founders/staff and shareholders that have covered costs over a sustained period, they don't deserve to be complained at because they are now covering costs and giving someone a warning.

We have not given a warning, the warning to Flushy & ifm was 4 or 5 moths ago, on an unrelated matter.

Complain away, both sides, but please keep it civil. We've removed several Posts already, all of them, as it happens, taking blonde's side & being offensive towards ifm.

ifm is a grown-up, he can stay, or go, it's his choice. Personally, I'd be devestated if he left, but it his right, & I ain't begging anyone to stay.

Equally, folks can complain as much as they want, for & against, providing they don't flame.

I think ifm used to post some good thoughts. I wont be happy to see him go one bit. He was also great banter at the tables. (When we didn't book comps when he was working!! - Sorry about that!)

It may well be a shame the forum has changed slightly but it did HAVE to change. I don't think this has compromised the general ethos though. I dont ever remember posts saying "we will never advertise". If there ever were any, well, things have changed.
