another question for the Sky suits if they're around..... a few weeks ago on the The Open players were asked to email in if they'd be interested in getting some coaching from the experts. I'd jump at that chance to get in on this, and emailed in right away registering my interst and asking for some more detail on the format the coaching would take, but not heard anything since
Is there any news on this?

Hi Claire,
The Sky Suits are all at Wimbledon or Henley, so I'm in charge today. Wall-to-wall Simpsons alternating with Epic Train Journeys on all Sky Channels this evening. Except 846, between 9pm & midnight, when Sky Poker have a young dude as Analyst, and songwriter Cole Porter and female impressionist Francine Lewis.
Now, the Poker Acdemy.
It filled up pretty quick, now they are putting the nuts & bolts together, & the full details will be announced soon. We just need to find a poker expert......
It'll happen, soon. There are so many plans coming out of here, it's too much fun. Last Saturdays "Live" affair was well received by the Senior Sky Suits, & planning has already begun for the next one. It'll be held in .....err, sorry, you'll have to wait. Soonish though.

Ironside - I haven't forgotten! These things taken time.
Simon Young - stop promoting your own services via a third party forum! Tikay, I'm surprised tyou let that kind of thing through.
And I'm not in Henley or Wimbledon. I flew into Felthamtown last night from Orlando airport. Having seen the weather, I'm flying straight back.

One thing after chatting with a lot of regulars on sky during the last few days, is that for the open, velocity 1 and 2, and the primo tourny is that they'd like to see a leaderboard. I do happen to think thats a bloody good idea... it gives people something extra to play for whilst adding in the loyalty, rewards the regular players etc..
Prizes could be anything... Addition to bankroll, invite to the next sky live ( PLEEASSSEEE hold this in Manchester), invites onto the show etc

If you mean a Weekly/Monthly type of Tournament Leaderboard, I believe that's in hand, & will appear soon, probably with the soon-to-be-revealed Sky Poker Blog &/or Forum.

"Probability is like gravity," says Crockett, "you can't negotiate with gravity." Or perhaps he said 'gravy'. Yes, he might have said gravy. You can't negotiate with gravy either. And gravy has as much in common with probability as gravity does. Tubbs says, in a gravelly voice; "you can't negotiate with gravy".

Just in case they show one of my hands on sky tonight, I must point out that my wife is playing instead of me. Of course if she wins I will take full credit.
She has just had a practise on two cheap 12 seater sitngos and came 1st in 1 and 2nd in the other. This screen print shows that luck may run in the family.

I suspect it might not actually be Cole Porter on the programme tonight!
