6 handed sit and go's

this is my first post on blonde i enjoy reading what you all have to say and have a question. I am a low stakes sit and go player who battles the idiots of pacific poker on a daily basis  robbing them blind of their 2.50£ lol. I was wondering if anyone could tell me what the odds are of someone else having an ace at the table if you have one also in a 6 handed game?I dont call raises with ace rag but it seems from observation that there is usually only ever one ace at the table and calling with Ace rag once in a while may a good way to bust the people who cant laydown KK QQ no matter what. At a six handed table, if you have an ace, the probability of someone else having one is 49.59%.

So essentially 50/50.

Rag Ace 6 handed can be okay, aslong as you stick to the idea that you need a stronger hand to call than open a pot. Calling a raise with Rag A is a bit risky, if an A falls how are you going to put a player on KK?, to bust him a player will play AK AQ even AJ A10s in a similar fashion to KK.

AHhhhhhhh, thats why your asking to see if its worth playing Rag Ace.

Well i d say if in pos in an unraised pot stick ina raise and see where it goes, don t be afraid to throw it away.

I tend never to playing A with a middling kicker. Would rather play A3,A4,A5 suited and hope for straight or flush possibilities. Also a lot easier to let go if you feel you are dominted.
If you hold A7/A8 and an 7 or 8 high board comes, so much harder to let go, and easily dominated by 99+. That sort of play used to lose me quite a few £'s!

-EV for me. Players tend not to pay you off with an ace on the board; they'll only play unless they can beat it and even if they can't, you'll never be sure you're in front. Sure, you'll bust a big pair once in a while, but you'll lose more by calling raises and not hitting over the long run. The only time I'll use it is against looser impatient short stacks.

In all honesty, at this level, you just need to play ABC poker and your bankroll will thank you for it.

thanks guys...after playing alot of 5$ and 10$ 6 packs ive found that playing supertight until the bubble (as you always get paid off when you hit despite your table image) and then super aggressive after the bubble is pretty much a fool proof way to beat these games-as i'm sure you all know.I mananaged to turn 20$ into 400$ by doing that in a few months but didnt feel that it was worth the time i put into it as i only was making like 6$ an hour!Once my bankroll allows me to move up to 25$ i realise i'll have to change my tactics slightly and i would never consider calling raises with Ace X against good players unless there was a huge difference in stack size.

you might find alot of the worst players frequent the $25.oo levels, i certainly find that you'll lose 3 or 4 players in 9 seaters at $25.00
