Kings Cross to Edinburgh, at a guess. The name - because of it's (quite dreadfyul) colour - Mallard Blue?.
I ain't up on LMS & LNER stuff, I'm a GWR man, and GWR Green is the colour ALL steam locos should be.
GWR = Great Western Railway, aka God's Wonderful Railway.

OK Tikay, time to get you thinking...
In Nesbit's book the railway children, later made into a film with the still luscious Jenny Agutter, what was the name of the station featured?

Fiction or children's books? Nope.
There IS no London to Penzanze Sleeper train.
The last remaining London (Paddington) to Penzance "named" express was the Cornish Riviera Express, & before that, The Cornishman.

There must be an ex-Celtic player in there.
Also, a few dodgy brits went to play to Benfica, in true Gary Charles fashion. hmm.

Got the name right? It's only THE most famous named express train in the world!
I thought it had ceased to operate in 2002. It used to depart Paddington at 6.05pm, always pulled by an immaculately clean King or Castle Class. Both my Dad & my Grandad were drivers AND Fireman on it at different times, & on occasions, my Dad was fireman to my Grandad.
The Paddington Crew, based at Old Oak Common (Depot Code 81a) would only take it as far as Plymouth, where a West Country crew would take over. The Old Oak Crew then stayed in Plymouth lodgings with a Mrs Stackles, this was known as "double homes".
Last time I used this service, my coach develooped a cracked wheel & had to be "retired" at Exeter St James. Geezer used to walk along the track with a hammer & tap each wheeel, if it gave an off key "ring" they knew the wheel was cracked.
Lets hope a Poker Tourney occurs in Penzanze soon, that'll be some trip, eh?
