If Marseille have won the european cup then Cascarino is the Irishman with Villa & Celtic.

Just checked - they won it in 1993.

So thats:

Collymore                Saunders                 Cascarino
Charles
Ince
(Platt)

2 more.

It really does help being a villa fan...  Grin

Snoops, how did you work out the Notts County answer?

well it had to be when they created the championship recently and when the premiership came into play in the 90s.

When I was a nipper and footie mad, I always remember notts county in the top flight just be4 it changed. Stuck in my mind cos they are the crappest team I can recall playing in division 1. (premiership)

I have a bizzarely good memory of football around that time.

Don't ask me why, but I can even remember the teams in each group of world cup 90, the results, etc.

Can't recall nowt from world cup 94, 98, etc.

Weird how things can be cemented in your memory.

I think Mark Hughes is the last 1 cos he played for Bayern, Man U, & Barcelona.

Have to confess to checking up on the Bayern bit. I just couldn't think of any other possible welshmen.

This Question is Great but it does take some thinking I'll give you 10mins.

Q. what is taken on to a Football Pitch at half time and not removed until the following day?
this is applicable to all 96 league club Grounds.

So here's what I reckon:

Collymore (Liverpool, Forest, Villa)
Charles (Benfica, Forest, Villa)
Ince (Inter, Man U, Liverpool)
(Platt) (Forest, Villa, Juventus)

Saunders (Villa, liverpool, forest)
Mark Hughes (Bayern, Barc, Man U)

Tony Cascarino (Marseille, Celtic, Villa)

Alan McAnally (Bayern, Celtic, Villa)

I think Saunders is the only to play for 4 cos he was with Benfica too. Boy, he was a busy lad.
